Auberge du Soleil
Nestled on a sunny hillside amidst 33 acres of heritage olive and oak trees, Auberge du Soleil stands out as Napa Valley's most iconic luxury property. Founded by French restaurateur Claude Rouas in 1981, the resort first began as a celebrated fine-dining restaurant created to bring the tastes of Provence to California wine country. Business partner Bob Harmon joined him five years later, and they then added "The Inn of the Sun," which gave rise to 50 contemporary guestrooms and suites that blend relaxed sophistication with understated elegance. Today it is a Forbes Five-Star Star hotel and part of the Auberge Resorts Collection.
