History

The Commodore Perry Estate is a historic Italianate manor built in 1928. It served as the country home of "Commodore" Edgar and Lutie Perry, who were known for their opulent entertaining in the Roaring Twenties style. Over the years, it has been used for various educational purposes and had recently been restored to become an upscale boutique hotel operated by California-based hospitality group Auberge Resorts Collection. The luxury property features 42 guest rooms under three stories, custom Pierre Frey wallpaper, bespoke goods and textiles, a vintage gramophone and bar carts with drinks tailored to each guest's taste -- all set against the backdrop of an idyllic countryside retreat in downtown Austin.
