Upon returning to the lodge, guests can indulge in a day of relaxation at our spa. With amenities like geothermal-heated indoor/outdoor pools, Isopod flotation tanks, and an outdoor Viking sauna, guests can spend their days unwinding and rejuvenating. During this time of year, the pool provides the perfect vantage point to witness the magical Northern Lights.
At Deplar Farm, we place the utmost importance on the health and safety of our guests and staff. Despite the fact that sheep outnumber humans in Iceland by more than 2:1, our intimate and standalone lodge is designed to ensure that guests can explore the abundant landscapes around us safely and comfortably.
The accommodation at Deplar Farm consists of thirteen en-suite bedrooms. These include five king suites with private bathrooms, four king suites with private bathrooms and queen sleeping lofts and balconies, two queen suites with private bathrooms, one king suite with a private bathroom, lofted lounge, and private balcony, and one bunkroom with four double beds and a double private bathroom. The property also boasts a geothermal indoor/outdoor pool with a swim-up bar, sauna and steam room, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, media room, premium spa facility featuring two Isopod flotation tanks and three treatment rooms, two helipads, billiards, foosball, and ping pong table, custom-made band loft, bar and lounge, gym and yoga room, and a cold plunge.
The winter season dates run from November 2, 2023–February 29, 2024. The Room Rates start at a nightly rate of $3,560 with a minimum three-night stay required. Property Buyout Rates start at a nightly rate of $51,570, based on 26 guests, but can accommodate up to 32 guests with a minimum three-night stay required.
Inclusions for your stay at Deplar Farm encompass guided activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, fat biking, ice fishing, snow sledding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, group whale watching, sea kayaking, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and more. All gear necessary for these activities is provided. Pre-arrival planning with the Experience Team, use of the off-property base camp for activities and meals, chef-prepared breakfast, lunch, après, and dinner, house alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and in-room minibar, Viking Dinner included for guests who buy the lodge for 4+ nights, and roundtrip airport transfers from Akureyri Airport are also included.
