The Sleeping Indian Ranch is a luxurious ranch home and event space located 47 miles northwest of Telluride. Situated in the Cimarron Range, this 17,000-acre estate offers complete privacy while providing guests with an opportunity to explore the unspoiled wilderness of true Americana. This majestic post-and-beam log structure boasts 40,000+ sq. ft., 8 bedrooms, and can accommodate up to 16 guests at a time. The ranch may only be rented as an exclusive buyout experience and includes the following amenities:

History

Sleeping Indian Ranch was once an expansive homestead dating back to 1877 when Abner Hinkle acquired the property beneath what would become one of Colorado's most renowned mountain ranges—the Cimarron Range. Over the years, Hinkle's family grew the land considerably until they sold it in 1940 to Lillian Wyman, who renamed it 'The Sleeping Indian,' after her favorite landmark that overlooked her holdings — an unmistakable formation resembling an Indian on his sleeping rolls. Wyman passed away in 1981, leaving behind a legacy that has since been lovingly preserved through careful management. Today it is a stunning, private luxury retreat where guests can spend their vacations exploring all that nature has to offer - from wildlife to terrain and breathtaking vistas overlooking nearby towns such as Placerville and Ridgway.
