Intercontinental Sydney Luxury Hotel

Whether traveling for business, planning a wedding, or booking your next vacation to Australia, Intercontinental Sydney is an excellent destination for luxury travelers. It has the Forbes 5-star stamp of approval as a luxury hotel and it more than lives up to the already stellar reputation of the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) brand. Perfectly situated in Circular Quay, an area of Sydney known for its walkways and malls, as well as restaurants and parks, this hotel offers views of the Sydney Opera House, the harbor, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, all of which are walking distance from the property.

Accommodations at the Intercontinental Sydney

Guest rooms are elegant, spacious, and include a window chaise for taking full advantage of whichever breathtaking view you may have selected. The Opera House room is particularly impressive and quite comfortable for a single traveler or couple. For additional comfort, we recommend upgrading to a suite, where guests can enjoy the same beautiful views but with additional living and dining space and, in the case of the Presidential Opera Suite, a kitchen, terrace, a grand piano, and a soaking bath all to oneself.

Dining at the Intercontinental Sydney

This hotel offers three dining options onsite in addition to private dining and in-room service. Atop the hotel and wrapping around on the terrace of the 32nd floor is Aster, a place of sophistication for drinks and light eating. It boasts an impressive cocktail menu as well as highly personalized-service. Serving breakfast and brunch exclusively, Intercontinental Sydney’s first floor is home to The Conservatory Restaurant. This establishment is the perfect way to start one’s day before taking to the streets of Sydney and seeing the sights. For all-day dining and a go-to place for a bite to eat, The Treasury is a casual dining experience in the hotel lobby. Guests can also contact the concierge at any time for a restaurant recommendation, of course.

Additional attractions near Intercontinental Sydney

One important amenity to call out is the heated pool that overlooks the Sydney Opera House. It’s best suited for lounging but large enough to swim laps. On the first floor of the property, guests can visit the Matt Pearson Gallery and see his collection of fine art photography of some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes. Finally, especially for those who are considering Sydney as a wedding destination (or those who are simply wedding fans!), we recommend checking out the Vera Wang bridal boutique also located on the ground floor of the building.
