Nestled in the basement of a 15th-century convent, The Spa at Four Seasons Milano is an 8,600-square-foot sanctuary away from Milan's bustling high-end fashion district, the Quadrilatero d'Oro. Celebrated architect Patricia Urquiola has masterfully crafted an inviting and modern atmosphere while preserving the original character of the building.

Urquiola’s design incorporates the vaulted ceilings above the pool, which once sheltered a 19th-century wine cellar. These now blend seamlessly with the laser-etched Carrara marble walls, creating a unique blend of old and new. The spa also showcases materials native to the region, such as walnut for the changing rooms, and a color palette of gray and cream that exudes warmth and luxury.

The centerpiece of the spa is the 46-foot lap pool. Flanked by plush lounge chairs on one side, and illuminated by soft lighting, the pool sits beneath 200-year-old arched ceilings, adding a touch of antiquity and grandeur to your swim.

For fitness enthusiasts, the spa features a fully-equipped fitness center that provides personal training, yoga lessons, and even a suspended screen for yoga video tutorials.

The spa's salon is a haven for hair care, offering Rossano Ferretti’s signature “Methodo” cut, a personalized service that considers a guest’s personality, body, and hair type before any cutting commences.

The spa's treatments pay homage to the area’s wine history, incorporating products known for their antioxidant qualities like bioflavonoids and anthocyanins derived from grapevines, and polyphenols from fermented red grapes. Treatments range from results-oriented facials, such as the acclaimed anti-aging treatment designed by London facialist Sarah Chapman, to relaxing, energizing, and detoxifying massages.

One of the standout treatments is the Cellular Exclusive Lift Concept facial, a 60-minute indulgence aimed at contouring the face and smoothing wrinkles. Other specialty treatments include the Body and Soul Ayurvedic, the Hot Lava Stone Ritual, and the foot rejuvenation treatment, Danza Tra Gli Acini.

The spa facilities provide separate men’s and women’s changing rooms featuring Turkish baths and Scottish showers (alternating hot and cold water), along with an array of toiletries to help you get ready post-treatment. There are also seven treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite with a private Jacuzzi, and the Rossano Ferretti Hair Salon for all your hair care needs.

Finally, the 1,700-square-foot fitness center is open 24 hours a day, equipped with Technogym equipment, Arkè circuit machines, weights, kettle balls, mats, and stretching machines, ensuring you can keep up with your workout regimen during your stay.

In conclusion, The Spa at Four Seasons Milano offers a unique blend of history, luxury, and wellness, providing guests with an unforgettable experience of relaxation and rejuvenation.
