The name 'Aman-i-Khás' is derived from Sanskrit and Hindi/Urdu words, translating to 'peace' and 'special,' respectively, a perfect reflection of its alluring beauty.
At Aman-i-Khás, guests stay in ten luxury Mughal-style tents measuring 108 m2 each. These elegant structures are constructed with canvas and supported by steel frames, with fine cotton decorating the walls and ceilings. Inside the tents, there are three sections for sleeping, bathing, and dressing. In addition, there is an outdoor seating area with a king-size bed flanked by twin writing desks and a bathroom complete with a shower, soaking tub, and toilette. Each tent is air-conditioned/heatable, making guests feel right at home while they explore the region's ancient forts, colorful rural villages, and wildlife, including tigers.
The camp also has three other large tents: the Dining Tent, Lounge Tent, and Spa Tent. The Dining Tent is softly lit with lamps and contains one large dining table as well as multiple smaller ones; here, Indian cuisine can be served along with other Western dishes made from fresh vegetables grown in their onsite organic garden! The Lounge Tent adjoining it offers sofas, armchairs, reading tables, and books giving insight into both the park's history & culture as well as its wildlife. Lastly, the Spa Tent has two treatment areas where guests can enjoy some much-needed relaxation time after exploring all day! Finally, guests can take a dip in their traditional stepwell pool surrounded by an outdoor terrace & trees.
