A Recap of the First Ever LuxRally Travel Sales Symposium

Last Updated

November 4, 2023

Well, we did it. Our first-ever LuxRally Travel Sales Symposium was an overwhelming success. Our agency has never been more focused and energized. Over the course of two days, our agents were immersed in experiences aimed at increasing their revenue and optimizing their processes to be more efficient. We know that taking time away from home and paying for airfare and hotels is an investment. While many host agencies have cold, corporatist-style events, our symposium focused on making more money, in less time, and building authentic relationships with the people who make the hospitality world turn. These resources included invaluable 1-on-1 sessions with vendors, engaging breakouts, insightful round table discussions, informative presentations, and an unforgettable after-party. As a special treat before the symposium commenced, we invited our top two agents for an exclusive round of golf at the prestigious Trump Doral with our founder David Eisen, and his wife Courtney Eisen, our CMO. Additionally, our top five agents were treated to a dinner at BLT Prime, generously sponsored by Ultimate Jet Vacations. With such incredible opportunities for learning, networking, and relaxation, our symposium was truly a resounding victory. We cannot wait for round two next year.

Agent/Vendor 1-on-1s at Empire Social Lounge

Sponsored by Expedia TAAP

The first day of the LuxRally Travel symposium was a great success. It started off at Empire Social Lounge with an incredible turnout from both our agents and vendors. During the 1-on-1 sessions, we observed numerous productive revenue-generating conversations between our agents and vendors. Expedia TAAP generously sponsored this event and went above and beyond to make the symposium even more special. They provided our agents with a comprehensive overview of their advisor resources and booking tools, while also engaging in candid discussions and valuable 1-on-1 sessions with each agent who had questions.

Agents had the exciting opportunity to participate in one-on-one sessions with vendors. Additionally, they were given the exclusive chance to engage in personal discussions with our esteemed Founder, David Eisen, who generously shared his insights on becoming a highly successful travel agent. Moreover, agents had the privilege of connecting with our accomplished sales director, Philip Obermeyer, who readily addressed their queries regarding sales, bookings, and other pertinent agent-related topics. Our dedicated marketing team provided agents with the valuable option of having headshots taken while discussing the wide range of effective marketing resources at their disposal.

We would like to issue a special thanks to Empire Social Lounge for letting us host our event at their location.

We would also like to thank all of the vendors who took the time to come out and contribute to the success of our first annual sales symposium:

After-Party at the Eisen Residence

After the 1-on-1s at Empire wrapped up, all agents and vendors were cordially invited to an unforgettable After-Party at the Eisen Residence. It was a night where memories were made and connections were strengthened. There was even a special guest appearance from the Celebrity DJ Jillionaire. As his beats filled the air, everyone couldn't help but lose themselves in the music and dance the night away. At LuxRally Travel, we firmly believe in nurturing genuine relationships, and that's why we chose to host this after-party. This more relaxed atmosphere promotes organic conversations and fosters stronger connections, allowing for authentic relationship building beyond the constraints of a typical corporate setting.

Breakout Sessions at the Trump National Doral

Sponsored by Celebrity Cruises

The second day of the symposium began with a captivating presentation by Celebrity Cruises. They shared valuable information on how group contracts work for travel agents, setting a strong start to the day. Following the presentation and Q&A session, agents dispersed into various breakout sessions led by our executive team. One of these sessions was initiated by our CMO, Courtney Eisen, who delivered a comprehensive talk on content strategies and brand creation. Her presentation provided unique insights into organic and paid Facebook strategies, search engine optimization techniques, and establishing an effective content calendar.

Our V.I.P. concierge, Markus Laahanen, led two breakout sessions during the event. The first session focused on servicing high-net-worth clients and generated insightful discussions. In the second session, Markus presented how hotels operate, emphasizing the importance of understanding the organizational structure and effectively interacting with each department. This knowledge is crucial for travel agents as it enables them to grasp the responsibilities of hotel staff and know how to engage with specific positions. Additionally, we facilitated an agent-led round table discussion hosted by Deahne Anderson and Philip Obermeyer, providing a platform for agents to share their valuable thoughts, strategies, and innovative ideas.

As the day wrapped up, the LuxRally Travel Team enjoyed a group dinner at Champions Bar and Grill in the Trump Doral along with a cocktail hour. As the sun set and the night came, the team sat outside on the terrace of The Trump Doral and spent the rest of the late night chatting over some wine, sharing ideas and experiences.

We would like to issue a special thanks to Celebrity Cruises for Sponsoring the breakout sessions and the Trump National Doral for hosting us.
