History
Belmond Trains was born out of Belmond's long-standing commitment to preserving and celebrating historic train travel that began in 1976 with the launch of the Venice-Simplon Orient Express. This iconic train provided travel across Europe, connecting major cities such as London, Paris, and Vienna, creating unforgettable memories along its starlit nighttime routes.
In 2017, Belmond Trains expanded to include South America with the launch of the Andean Explorer in Peru. From this small seed grew a big dream – to bring together passionate visitors and experienced staff to create extraordinary journeys in total comfort. The resulting rail journey has become one of Peru's most celebrated experiences and has won numerous awards since its debut.
